HISTORY
In wood, Yes! But not just anyhow!
It all started in 2020, in the south of Alsace, near the Vosges massif, in a family of 4 extreme sports enthusiasts. Snowboard, Skateboard, Surfskate, Longboard, Cruiser, Surf, Windsurf, Stand Up Paddle and Mountain Bike, all multiplied by four at least, that was starting to add up to a lot of equipment in a house!
The issue of space and storage very quickly became a priority. We absolutely had to find a solution to preserve our beloved equipment which ended up being piled up in the garage and which tumbled every time we tried to grab what we needed. On the other hand, there was no question of using plastic or metal things that were as cold as they were unsightly to store our gear.
Why not make them out of wood!
Why not take advantage of my twenty years of experience in cabinetmaking, guitar making and modeling, including thirteen years spent in luxury aeronautics!
Why Alien Ant?
An Alien Ant rack provides security, longevity and visibility to your equipment.
Extreme sports equipment, whatever it is, is expensive and valuable. Many of us have to save for months or more, tightening our belts, in order to be able to afford the equipment we so desire.
This material is fragile and poor storage conditions can damage it; and let's be honest, it is very rarely stored in optimal conditions conducive to its longevity!
In addition, this material is very often very beautiful! We are attached to it, we love it! And unfortunately we can only benefit from it while we use it; the rest of the time he ends up in the garage where he is no longer seen.
How cruel not to be able to admire it and enjoy it all the time, after all the sacrifices that made its acquisition possible.
Our products
Made from beech plywood panels, all our models are interchangeable thanks to the mounting system on a universal bar, very resistant and very easy to install.
We apply a linseed oil-based finish to our racks and some models have cork strips to increase the protection of the equipment.
In order to satisfy all budgets, we also offer our entire range in a raw version, without finishing, 30% cheaper on average.

We love sports! What joy is the sensations that extreme sports provide and sharing them outdoors with friends or family.

Today, ecology is at the center of the attention of many of us; and especially more and more of us. This is encouraging because it is finally possible to see a desire for change in our lifestyles and especially in our consumption patterns.
We pay very close attention to the carbon footprint of our products!
Our Actions

We use raw materials whose origin does not exceed Europe

We use water-based adhesives and single-coat, oil-based finishing products without VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).

Waste recovery: each scrap of wood is reused to make our products, the creation of small products has made this action possible by pushing it to the maximum.

Waste sorting (well, who doesn’t do it these days?)

The use of ultra minimalist packaging: in fact our packaging consists of jute twine and a simple hang tag.

We do not print the assembly instructions for our racks and prefer that they are available online on our website.
